Liquidised boilie and the popup

Now I have studied Bread its time to take what I have learned and apply it to boilies (a proven Carp attractor).

So, a handfull of boilies is mashed up in the liquidiser, put in PVA and fished with a popup of the same flavour.
Shame that boilies lack the semi boyant quality of bread, but thier pulling power is a clear advantage.

However, the popup is not working. The fish are feeding under it and missing it.
Even when they do pick it up they dont get hooked.
